It's no secret, wearables are exploding onto the scene in full force and we at Nudge couldn't be more excited about the prospect of adding some of these new devices to our integration portfolio. Over the past month the world has been introduced to over a dozen new devices promising state-of-the-art tracking experiences going beyond the traditional step and active-minute count generally found in the current market. Whether you are a quantified junky, or just some someone interested in a new health tracker we thought it would be appropriate to highlight some of the devices we are the most excited about.
Samsung Gear Fit
Why it's on the list...
This year's Mobile Web Congress undeniably was taken over by wearables, and Samsung's second iteration on the concept came in the form of the elegant Gear Fit which is on the first devices to mesh functional design for active lifestyles with the functionality expected to complement one's smartphone. All in all, the world is waiting to have a single device that serves both functions of activity tracker and phone and this will arguably be one of the market leading candidates. Touché, Samsung.
Moov
Why it's on the list…
Moov has generated quite a significant buzz with a device that is anything but traditional in the wearables space. While most manufactures have been primarily focused on quantitative data, Moov has positioned itself as the device for qualitative data, with the ability to provide user feedback specific to the activity being performed. Imagine having a sports coach on your wrist at all times rating your every move.
GoQuii
Why it's on the list...
GoQuii is a company approaching the market from a very different angle with a keen eye on user-retention. Rather than simply launching another device into the crowded market and letting you share data with friends, GoQuii wants to connect its users with real trainers that can motivate and keep their customers engaged. Additionally, the company's revenue model is based on giving the device away and signing up users for 6 or 12-month plans which effectively places a health coach in your pocket.
